I Wish I Believe It.
(Distances Don’t Do People Apart)
She told me, not once –
"Distances don’t do people apart"
And it put me wondering from the start,
That have I ever believed it-hence?
It is such relative, isn’t it?
Which frame you wish to refer to?
And then you can actually see through,
That it’s working sphere is restricted.
In physical sense, you might consider affirmation,
For here alone bridges construct & rules bend.
But abstract makes it look translucent,
For the void surpasses dimensions!
And this is one aspect where even time,
Widens the gap, instead of healing it.
Even your physical presence can be substituted,
Only what matters is, how well you rhyme.
Then too, With all the love at my command,
I wish I believe it, hence.
Cause she has told it to me, not once,
"Distances don’t do people apart"
